Four homes for PEBL. Click into each one and decide.
This is not a picture, it's a working demo. Sign in, then open any of the four homes below and actually use it: send a Discord message, click through the website tabs, flip through the Google Sheet, read the newsletter. Click into any of them and explore. This is how each one feels.
Choose a home
Each option does one job best. Open all four, then use the Recruiting and Access Resources tabs in the top bar, those two matter to every option.
The Discord server, click any channel
This behaves like the real thing. Click channels in the left list, read the poll, and type in the message box at the bottom to send a message. Everything you see is what PEBL members would see.
Why Discord wins the daily habit
It is the only option that produces conversation on its own. Announcements can't get buried, project rooms are private by role, and alumni keep a door into the club after graduation. What it cannot do is stay organized at scale on its own, which is exactly what the next two options solve.
The PEBL website, click every tab
A members-only portal that belongs to PEBL alone. Click the tabs inside the site below just like a real member would. Switch to Phone to see it on a mobile screen.
Welcome to PEBL.
One place for the PEBL society, the member and alumni directory, the project knowledge library, mentorship pairings, and every alert, kept current by the PD team and alumni liaisons.

Why the website wins the long game
A portal is the only option that keeps the club's memory, the roster, the alumni, the projects, the resources, in a form that survives officer turnover and never loses an entry. What it cannot do is create the daily conversation Discord creates on its own.
The Google Sheet, click through all the tabs
You already have the Drive. This is the one Sheet that would sit on top of it: every tab below is a real tab you could hand to the alumni liaisons. Click the tabs to flip between them.

Why the Sheet wins on effort
It costs nothing, launches today, and gives you the directory and the resource index immediately. What it can never be is a community, nobody opens a spreadsheet to talk. It works best as the record underneath whichever conversation platform you pick.
The weekly update, visual, not a wall of text
PEBL already sends a newsletter, so this is an upgrade, not a new thing. Flip between the plain version and the visual version to see what yours could look like.
Hi everyone. Reminder that Winter 2027 recruiting applications open Monday October 12 and close Friday October 23. The info session is Wednesday October 14 at 7pm. If you know anyone who would be a good fit, please forward this email.
This week's professional development session is "Reading a P&L in 20 minutes" on Thursday at 7pm. The recording will be posted afterward. Last week's slides are available if you need them.
Project updates: Atlas has completed the client discovery brief. Nova is still in progress. Meridian is in scoping. Please make sure your files are in the shared drive.
Alumni news: Maria Reyes posted two open roles. She is available for mentorship this semester. If you are interested in being matched with a mentor, reply to this email.
That is all for this week. As always, reach out with questions.
, PEBL
You already have this one
PEBL already sends a weekly update, so adopting this costs nothing new. It is the visual upgrade to what you already send, and it works alongside whichever platform the club picks for everything else.
Why we share this, and what is inside
Two things live here: how to join PEBL, and the programs that help our members get where they are going. Both are shared on purpose, and both are explained below so nobody has to guess what they are walking into.
Why we are sharing this in the first place
Because access should not depend on who your family knows.
Opportunity travels by word of mouth
First-generation members carry more of the load
A deadline you cannot see is a deadline you miss
What to expect inside
So you know what you are opening before you open it.
Dates and deadlines
Every stage of the process with a date on it: when applications open, when the info session runs, when they close, when interviews happen, when offers go out.
What we actually look for
The four things we screen for, stated plainly, so nobody is guessing what an interview is really testing. No prior consulting experience is on the list.
Programs with real links
Named programs for first-gen, low-income and underrepresented students, each linked to its own site, each with who it is for and what it offers.
Where it shows up again
The same information is posted in the Discord announcements channel, on the website, at PD sessions and in the weekly update. It is never said once and dropped.
How to join: the timeline
Five dates, one page. Every applicant hears back either way.
Applications open
One short form. No resume required to apply.
Info session on the PD Stage
Meet the team, watch a live case, ask anything.
Applications close
Late submissions are not reviewed.
First-round interviews
Conversational, not a gauntlet. We want to see how you think.
Offers released
Everyone hears back, yes or no.
Cohort onboarding
Paired with a project and a mentor on day one.
What we look for
Curiosity
You ask good questions and actually want the answer.
Commitment
You show up to the sessions and do your share of the work.
Any background
No experience, no connections, no problem. That is the point.
Care for people
PEBL is a society, not a resume line. We build each other up.
Access programs worth knowing
Real organizations, each linked to its own site so you can check eligibility and current application dates. Several of these are open right now.
How to use any of this
Pick the ones that fit you, open the link, and note the deadline in your own calendar. If you want help with an application, ask in the PD channel or bring it to a session. Nobody in this club has to figure it out alone.
The access programs link to their own sites.
Which home do you like best?
Open the four options, then pick the one you want PEBL to build. Enter your name and email, and change your pick any time before voting closes. The panel on the right is what the board sees, every ballot with who cast it.
Which home should PEBL use?
No votes yet
One ballot per email. Voting again with the same email replaces your earlier pick, so nobody counts twice and you can always change your mind.
Every ballot, as it comes in
Name, email, pick and time.
Member, mentee and mentor
Three forms the club would run every semester. Walk through any of them and the entry lands in the log underneath.
Join PEBL
Takes a minute. This is the intake the club would run each semester.
Where are you now?

When can you meet?
Request received, there.
The PD team makes pairings monthly. You will hear back with your match.
Mentor a member
One hour a month is enough to change someone's semester.
How often can you meet?
Thank you, there.
You are on the mentor list. The PD team will match you with a member.
